About Mobilised

Mobilised is a next generation mobile social-bookmarking site where users submit links to sites accessible on mobile devices. The content is generally not moderated as the users have the ability to Vote for links that they like or to Bury them if they find them offensive or not useful (eg. not viewable on their mobile devices).

For Publishers

Mobilised badge is an easy way to attract visitors to your site. Embed the real-time Mobilised badge and let your readers vote,comment and share it with the rest of the world. Simply copy the following code and change the two 'url' parameter values to your site's address:

How to submit?

Once you have an account, there are several ways to submit links:

Directly from the Submit page
from PC Browser (instructions)
SMS via Twitter (instructions)
from Opera-mini (instructions)

PC browser bookmarklet

Just bookmark the link below in your favorite browser. After that, the only thing you have to do to submit a story is to click the bookmarklet in your browser.

Internet Explorer: Rightclick the link below, choose "Add to favorites."
Firefox: Drag the link below to your Bookmarks Toolbar
Opera: Rightclick the link below, and choose "Bookmark Link"

Twitter SMS submit

Phones that support sending bookmarks via SMS can use twitter's direct messaging to submit and tag links:

Signup to Twitter if you don't have an account, and configure your phone number
Add your Twitter screen-name in your Profile
We'll send you an automated friendship request, you need to login to twitter and accept the invite from mtm/Mobilised
You can now submit via SMS in this fromat: d mtm http://someurl.com tag1,tag2,tag3
To add the link to a specific category, use the category-name as a tag
Why 'mtm'? Because it's easy to type on a phone keypad, much easier then 'mobilised'. It stands for Mobilised TagMarks

Opera-mini bookmarklet

If you are using Opera-mini read the below. Once you are done, the only thing you have to do to submit your current page is to click Menu->Bookmarks->Post to Mobilised

Click the link and scroll down to this section again
Hit #7 or Menu->Tools->Add bookmark
Select and change the title to 'Submit to Mobilised'
Select Address field and remove all text that appears before the word 'javascript'
(optional) select 'Display on start page' - it will allow you to assign and use a shortcut key
